Jim George

Stillness, on purpose.

Jim George is a mindfulness coach, animator, and co-founder of Still Life, a practice built around a single idea: that the person you are looking for is already here, underneath the noise.

For nearly 50 years, Jim has been exploring what he calls practical spirituality—a way of working with the mind that asks for no doctrine, dogma, or belief system. Instead, it begins with the willingness to become quiet enough to see clearly. His work invites us to look beneath the noise, understand the patterns that shape our experience, and return to what it means to be fully present for our own lives.

He believes stillness is not something you find on a retreat and lose on a Monday. It is a practice you carry, and a relationship with yourself you keep choosing.

Who is Jim George?

A short introduction to the man behind Still Life, his path from animation to stillness, and the work he does.

"If I could make it so all the world knew the teachings of any one person, I would choose Jim, hands down. Not Gandhi, not Buddha. I would choose Jim, because he makes it very practical for the age we're in right now."

— Matt Pohlson, Co-Founder and CEO of Omaze
